Or people who smoke pot. Fiancee and I were regular smokers, she got pregnant and immediately stopped.. naturally its still in her system during the first visit and blood tests so the day after she's born and we come home we have to have a visit from CPS.. for pot smoked before finding out she was pregnant. Subsequent blood tests didn't have it because she immediately stopped, didn't matter. We still started out the journey with our first child with a visit and paper trail with CPS.
Thanks for the opportunity for my little rant, im still clearly salty 2 years later lol.

You wouldn’t believe how much of a mentally ill abusive addict one would have to be in order for Child Protective Services to intervene or remove the child.
With CPS hawk eyes on them, shitty people still abuse and hurt their children with no recourse.
CPS are saints and the work they do is crucial. This comment isn’t putting them down but spotlighting their lack of resources and authority.
When they are effective they are imperative.
Their work loads and red tape they have to deal with neuters their ability to intervene - and in the grand scheme of things; They are impotent to the ones who need the most nurturing.
If they are effective… foster care is another nightmare discussion.

The whole accusing people of being a cuck thing is sort of like if someone who rants about having normal sized hands, but then a pornstar who didn't get paid her hush money goes on talkshows and tells the world a story about small, freakishly shaped toadstools..... 🤷

When you know damn well that if you were left with a kid, had the alibi, or the power to avoid arrest, or the plausible deniability to know you'll get away with murder, sexual abuse, rape, etc you'd absolutely take advantage, you have to project. If you don't pretend this is the normal human condition, everyone does it and gets away with it, everyone would if they could, you'd have to face your own evil.
It's the same reason you find some secretly gay etc bigots who target gay people. They have the urges, they assume everyone has the urges to be homosexual, it's normal. They've decided to be strong, follow their pastor, their bible, and resist their urges and live a miserable fake life. They're strong. People who've not resisted, who're out there living their best fabulous life aren't better, aren't happier, no, they're weaker, lesser people for not resisting their urges and going against god, or custom, family, tradition etc.
This is also projection. All these anti-trans, anti-gay movements are fueled by some people who are so ashamed of their own self they must project that shame to others, and try to force out, happy people to feel that shame by making their very lives difficult, or even illegal. They must be taught it's wrong! Otherwise they've denied themselves happiness for nothing.

u/philcollinsphoever 1d ago

u/JustAnEmoProgrammer 1d ago
One of my worst experiences as a queer teen had been being "counseled" by a youth pastor and another elder at church about how "we all experience same sex attraction," but it's evidently the devil whispering to us, and a righteous person ignores those "sinful urges," and gets married and has a family. I'm going to assume that they were bi or gay, but I have been bitched out on multiple occasions for vilifying queer people by insinuating those people were one of us and not just homophobes. As they're pretending to be straight and assigning "sin" to our existence, I have been told "hate the sin, live the sinner" so many times by my family, I don't consider them to be one of us anyhow.
These individuals are the most dangerous. I say this as someone who went through "conversation therapy" with a Christian ex-gay "counselor."

Yeah I was physically abused growing up and didn't figure out 911 was an option til I was 15 either. I never tried calling, because I was afraid my abuser would convince the cops I was lying and make things even worse for me. And I feared that even if the police took my abuser away, I'd be blamed for breaking up my family (because I was repeatedly told that's what would happen if I ever blabbed about what was done to me).

Similar case, abused growing up and never called the cops. Though in my case it wasn’t out of worry he’d convince the cops I was lying, it’s because my oder sibling called the cops and he successfully did it so I knew they weren’t gonna help. Made it all the funnier when I was 16 and he tried for my younger siblings, got blocked by me, tried to attack me instead, and got his shit rocked. What was less funny was when the cops came and threatened to arrest me for protecting my siblings and not him for putting me in a head lock and kneeing me in the face repeatedly.

They are even better at dodging CPS when they are working with CPS
Source - was foster kid in private Christian foster agency.
Their favorite methods are food restrictions and cruel punishments that don’t leave physical marks.
Raise your arms like a cross. All the way parallel to the ground. Cmon arms up. Now stand there for 5 minutes-5 hours.
Once I fainted standing up.
Yes, it was reported and I was visibly malnourished when adopted by an equally zealous, but luckily less abusive, Christian family whom I no longer talk to.
No, there’s no record of the report, no nothing came of said report (they got 7 more foster kids after me - found out from their kid who is dead from an OD since I last talked to him) and I didn’t get my case file until way after the statute of limitations was up.

Everyone on Reddit should agree to let the Garfield county sheriff’s office and Colorado department of child services that we’re worried about abuse going on at boebert’s household, you know to help protect this innocent young child.

Yeah if only there was some sort of community petition or something we could do. I’m not about to drop a dime on a batshit crazy Congresswoman in another county.

This needs to be much bigger news. She’s enabling the abuse of her kids.

Trump is a rapist & George Santos is a total fraud, this woman is insane & enabling, MTG is an adulterer and harasses children. R is the only letter they seem to be able to read.

Ah yes, the party of “Family Values” again covering up child abuse.

Because to people like them, “family values” includes the ability to beat your kids

Oh they care for children alright... Before they're out of the womb.

In my township you can’t cancel a 911 call. We had a couple of incidents when the kids were small and they dialed to “try it out”. The cops explained that you can’t cancel it because they need to see that someone isn’t holding you hostage while you call to cancel it. And it sounds like that’s pretty close to what happened here.

Ten bucks she said "Do you know who I am?" This is sickening behavior, how does anybody act like it to their own child?

Boebert: family values for thee, but not me!
“Look, son we can’t have a police report saying your dad beats us all to hell. It might affect my numbers…”

If she gets reelected again . I will lose all respect for her district. If this doesn't bring them together to vote for someone else nothing will.

Don't get your hopes up. My parents, although not in her state, are proud of the dad. "Spoil the rod, spare the child" and all that. The nutjobs who voted for her will explain away anything.

u/Sagutarus 1d ago
Its funny that people say that, "spare the rod" as if it means to beat your children with a rod. A Shepard uses a rod to guide the sheep, not beat them...

I'm coming to realize a lot of expressions have been co-opted to mean their opposite. Like "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" and "blood is thicker than water".

She is an idiot who cries abuse when she sees people living life, but married and lets an ACTUAL pedo groomer abuse her own child.

She made a baby with him after becoming a sex offender right in front of her and still denies it to this day. She’s the mom who would tell her sexually harassed daughter she asked for it. She’s a POS parent too

Well, her husband is a pedophile, who’s has a history of harmed children including a young boebert, unlike the trans people she keeps screeching about, so i’m not surprised.

If the MAGAs don’t end up turning this country into Afghanistan, I believe this congressperson will be spending a lot of time in prison on old school tax evasion charges. I don’t even think a forensic accountant will be required as she and her kin are so stupid.

You could probably put me on the case and I'd find malfeasance on page one that would get anyone else thrown in jail for a good stint.
And I am just a software engineer who does his own fairly complex taxes.

They’re so warped they don’t see it as abuse because it’s committed by Dad, their domestic authority figure. Fascism in the sheets leads to fascism in the streets.

Yes! She’ll weasel out of it, tho, blame JaYson or say she wasn’t there and didn’t understand or know what was going on
Gonna fuck up her ploy to hand custody of the kids to hubby, tho

u/Germaer 1d ago
No kid should have domestic terrorists as parents. If they get enough complaints maybe they will look into something and do their jobs. Worth a shot.

u/Hot-Bint 1d ago
Naw, she’ll tell the cops her kid has a drug addiction/unspecified mental illness or has behavioral issues and lies.
Source - my parents to cops the scant few times I dared to say anything about my abuse

These people and those that vote for disgusting scumbags like this don't deserve respect.
They certainly didn't give a rats ass when her husband was exposing himself to minors, they won't start suddenly caring about this.
It's 100% projection with these grotesque failed humans.

u/Hot-Bint 1d ago
Yes, but see, it was a bowling alley, not a library, the girls were 15-16 and that’s practically middle aged in the GOP and they were all dressed according to their gender so it’s all good.

u/guilhermej14 1d ago
This... is so fucking suspect dude... so fucking suspect. (It's almost as if she's enabling the abuse of her own children.)

u/CopEatingDonut 1d ago
These people and their religion shame their children into thinking anything, ANYTHING but a cis though is wrong and they are going to hell. This is why they are at war with themselves and attack everyone else, because they were taught being yourself is wrong and you must conform or be dammed.
