I feel like the fly even saw the kitten and was like "ok, I'll give them a chance."
2
u/Sxilla 1d ago
Haha I thought the same, the fly was so forgiving. It was like “Aw it’s okay, try again.”
3
u/TheMouseIsBack 1d ago
Right?! It didn't even fly away. I bet it giggled a little bit, but in an endearing way.

Give it a few weeks and this cat will be the most vicious of hunters. Games are training, and if you win every one, you're not improving.

I love how the fly didn’t even move. This is the cat’s villain origin story.

Why was this video slowed down?
FFS...
About 1.33 is the real speed, and you can even hear the person laughing at the end.

I like how the fly realises it is in no danger whatsoever and stays put throughout.

How is no one mentioning the size of that fly. It’s bloody huge.
Kitty did well to face such a large adversary.

But that little ferocious predator is actually learning another important cat feature - the art of making it look like their clumsy moments are, in fact, intentional.

Aww, she's so fluffy I'm gonna die! (Despicable Me reference). This video reminded me of how incredibly soft the fur of kittens is. Enjoy this time with her and I wish you many years of making happy memories together.

I always imagine flies see everything in super slow motion... so this fly is just casually watching this sloooow kitten rise up... go OH. NO. And (Ave Maria playing) just go crashing back down while the sounds of a tiny fly laughing echos through the air

OP! Where the heck do you live that you have flys that big!!!! I saw a bunch horseflies once and almost died.

Why do people feel the need to slam every older video through an AI upscaler on max settings? The thing is trying to find a face in the cats fur

dumb as hell cat, can't even stand up
the fly would probably run away if he could only manage to stand up, but not even that.

This adorable kitten likely has better cuddling skills than hunting skills. I can relate ♥️

Cats and dogs are shockingly good at catching flies. They are my natural insect control solution. (Except termites unfortunately...)

I see this behavior in my 11-month-old every day. He's such a clutz and only part cat. He has the desire but not the ability.
