It's maybe not as good as some other pills, but the thing is, you can wait until the end of the year to use it to make money, and have the whole year with an "anti-extreme-shit" pill that may prevent a disaster. Some disasters it can't prevent, sure, but you most likely won't lose your family in a house fire with this pill (unless you already wasted it that year). You won't be involved in a huge car crash (unless you die instantly). You won't break your back in a bad fall, or cut your fingers while wood working, etc.

The "only 10 minutes" and "only once a year" mean it's not all-powerful, but it's still pretty strong at avoiding some of the really shitty things that may happen in life. I urge you all to go squeeze your fur children right now. I, too, lost my soul cat in June very unexpectedly. I’ve felt like something is missing every day since then. You can’t fill that hollow feeling with anything… not even double your weight in macaroni and cheese. I tried.

Ok hear me out, the yellow pill's drawback is solvable. Jump into the body of some super rich asshole who is mostly outside of the public's attention, like the surviving Koch brother, and use all their money and resources to create a black site cloning facility and create backups of your original body to re-inhabit, then just wait for one of them to reach an acceptable stage of development and hop back in after leaving yourself all you will need to keep new bodies ready to go in various hidden locations and go home and spread the wealth around however you like.

Bonus points if you clone your lost pet as well.

Immortality and being able to experience different lives (you can jump in baby body, which will help you not to act amnesiac) is a bliss. Only downside is moral (for example, I don't want to make my wife sad, so I won't jump before her death, which leads to potential situation of me dying first without jumping; jumping in baby body will remove "destroyed potential" dilemma since baby doesn't really have formed personality).
